Our offices are located on the 15th floor of The Centennial Tower at the corner of Marietta and Spring Streets next to centennial Olympic Park in downtown Atlanta. The closest MARTA station is Five Points. |

The Federal Defender Program, Inc. in Atlanta, Georgia was established as a private, not-for-profit Community Defender Organization serving the Northern District of Georgia in 1973. We are authorized and funded pursuant to the Criminal Justice Act(“CJA”), 18 U.S.C. § 3006A, et seq. The Federal Defender Program represents people who are charged with federal criminal offenses in the Northern District of Georgia who cannot afford to hire counsel. We receive all of our cases through appointment by the district court. Our representation begins at the earliest stages of court proceedings and continues appeal. There are four federal courthouses within the district. They include: the main courthouse at Atlanta in the Richard B. Russell Federal Building and satellite courthouses in Newnan, Rome and Gainesville, Georgia. Our office handles cases in all four divisions.
