Registration is now open for the
Seventh Annual Federal Defender Program, Inc. Saint Crispin’s Day Seminar
Wednesday, October 19, 2011 From 8:30am to 5:00pm at the State Bar of Georgia 104 Marietta Street, Atlanta, GA 30303
Followed by a Social Hour and Musical Entertainment By Band of Brothers and a “Sista” from 5:00 to 7:00pm.
Advance registration is $50.00 through October 12, 2011. After October 12, 2011, registration is $60.00. Checks must be made payable to Thomas Jake Waldrop CLE. (Lunch will be catered by Fox Brothers.)
We will apply for 6 hours of CLE Credit through the State Bar of Georgia.
Nominations are now open for the 2011 Leeza R. Cherniak Award of the Sword presented annually to a CJA Panel Attorney from this district who embodies the principles of heroism in defense of others, valor in the face of adversity and commitment to the cause of justice.
We will also recognize the 2011 Acquittal Club Members which will include all persons who won full acquittals during this Crispin Year (October 2010 through October 2011).
Finally, we also recognize persons who had meaningful victories of other kinds with the 2011 Crispin Star Award. Such victories include motions to suppress, partial acquittals which saved someone a whole lot of time, reversals and the like.
